Important Information Regarding Appointments
1. First Appointment and Registration
Each session is 50 minutes in duration. Please note that the first session will be scheduled for 1.5 session (75 minutes) as time is needed to get to know you and the issues you are wanting to work on. You will also be required to come in 15 minutes before session to fill in a registration form.
2. Confidentiality
We adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Singapore Association For Counselling and maintain strict confidentiality of client information. Treatment records are kept secure and we will only release information about sessions, diagnosis or treatment plans to a third party with your permission. However, do note that there are a few exceptions, such as instances when there are concerns related to safety or if there is a legal obligation (i.e. by court order) to release information.
3. Payment
Payment is expected at the end of each session and it can be made by cash or paynow. For company/insurance claims, you would have to pay up-front, and then claim from your insurance or company.
4. Punctuality & Cancellation
Being punctual for your appointment would enable us to utilize the full duration of our session. Turning up late would result in a shorter session.
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please text or call us at least 24 hours beforehand, so that someone else could benefit from that released slot.
In line with standard practice in the profession, you will be charged the full fees if cancellation is made with less than 24 hours’ notice. We try to be flexible for genuine emergencies but we do need to protect our time as well.
